- Welcome to The Fascia Remedy

Julia Blackwell is a fascia release expert, educator, and creator of The Fascia Remedy™. Her work is rooted in a deeply personal journey. Born with severe nerve damage in her right shoulder, Julia spent over two decades navigating the traditional medical system, searching for answers that never seemed to come. She was repeatedly told there was little she could do to improve her condition and that it would likely worsen over time. As a result, she grew up feeling limited, disconnected from her body, and unsure of what was truly possible for her health.
Everything changed in 2010 when she was introduced to fascia-focused bodywork. Despite her background in exercise physiology, she had little exposure to fascia and did not expect it to make a meaningful difference. But within just a few months, she experienced more progress in her body than she had in years of conventional treatment. Muscles that had never activated began to fire, her range of motion improved, and she experienced a deeper level of connection to her body than ever before. That experience shifted not only her physical condition, but her entire perspective on healing. Julia went on to study multiple modalities and spent over a decade working with clients ranging from professional athletes to everyday individuals dealing with chronic pain. Through this work, she developed The Fascia Remedy™, a method that combines targeted fascia release, movement, and nervous system awareness to help people reduce pain, restore mobility, and better understand their body.
Today, Julia operates her practice in Golden, Colorado, where she works with clients in person alongside a trained team. She is also a continuing education provider for NASM, AFAA, and the Yoga Alliance, offering both virtual and in-person trainings for health and wellness professionals. What sets Julia’s work apart is her emphasis on active participation and understanding. Rather than relying on passive treatments, she teaches people how to interpret the signals their body is giving them and address the true source of pain and dysfunction. Her mission is not just to help people feel better temporarily, but to give them the tools and awareness to support their body long term.
